White Peony

Paeonia lactiflora, an herbaceous perennial peony, also referred to as the Chinese peony. This one is falling apart a bit here, and I can’t recall the name of this particular variety at the moment. Sadly, the peonies came and went so fast this year, probably due to the wet, cool weather.

Spring River Flowers Moon Night
The river is smooth and calm this evening,
The peony flowers bloom.
The moon floats on the current.
The tide carries the stars.

Iseult's Dream

Portrait/Logo

The Moments In Between All the Rest

I believe that some of the most meaningful things in our lives often happen in small, sometimes fleeting moments.

I do a lot of photography, so this blog will mostly be a collection of some of the images I have taken of some of the things that have caught my eye, and drawn me to them.....sometimes for reasons that are not always explicable to me. Some things just remain a mystery.

You may also find here from time to time, quotes, poems, writings, and images done by others which will all be duly attributed to the creators of those works.

The icon I am using above is a photo I took of part of a print I own, which depicts the goddess Artemis with her two hunting dogs. The original was done by the Peruvian painter, Alberto Vargas. The image is a bit different than the pin-up work for which he is most famous.
